versus Robot Lawn MowerAn electric lawnmower can only be used on smallish lawns because of the
length of cable. It could be plugged into an extention box to reach
further away from the source of electricity, but with the average
length of cable supplied being from 6 metres to 12 metres this could
become dangerous.
At the beginning of 1011 the Hospital Episode Statistics Inpatient Data
for the year 2010 announced that there were 460 admissions across the
UK for injuries sustained while using a powered lawn mower. Being so
light and handled while the blade is still rotating, it is easy to see
how quickly an accident could happen.
Cutting accidentally through a cable can be lethal and in fact a couple
were killed when the husband got electrocuted and his wife went to his
aid and also died when she touched him. A playful dog could think it
fun to chew the cable - is it really worth the risk when there is an
alternative?
With our Robot Lawn Mower these accidents could not happen. The blades
stop moving the minute the mower is lifted off the ground. The hidden
cable which encloses the area to be cut is such a low voltage that it
is completely harmless to humans and animals even if accidently cut
into or held.
Of course the time element comes into the decision to be made. Do you
want the hassle of getting the mower out, plugging it in and then
spending time walking around your lawn concentrating on not much else
than 'where is the cable? I must not cut it.'
The frustration of mowing with a trailing cable if the lawn has trees
and bushes must be immense - going one way then having to back, pull
the cable away and mow around the other side of the plant. With the
Robot Lawn Mower all that is a thing of the past.
Install the System once and then just programme the Robot to cut the
lawn as often as necessary to leave only tiny clippings which fall into
the lawn to provide nutrients. The neighbours will not be disturbed
with any noise and need not even see the mower working as it can do all
the cutting at night if so wished.
The smallest mower for a lawn no larger than? does not even need a
cable laid providing the surrounds are 4" tall and any island flower
beds or ponds have a 9" horizontal 'barrier' of say slabs so that the
sensors can detect there is no grass. Like our other Robot Lawn Mowers
trees and solid obstructions are no problem as the robot bumps into
them and backs off going in another direction.
With such inbuilt safety measures, a two year guarantee and taking up
none of your time as well as keeping your lawn beautifully mown all
year round, it seems that once again the Robot Lawn Mower is the
sensible choice.
We bought the L200 deluxe last summer and we are very satisfied with the installation and service from ALM, several of our friends have also purchased systems now as our lawns look so beautiful and we save ourselves so much time every week, no more mowing and having to dispose of all that grass. Well, what can I say! fantastic, we can't recommend these robot systems enough, there's a few different one's on the market and we had another brand 2 years ago and it didn't meet our expectations. I visited a friend who bought the basic L200 and he was much happier with his so I decided to go for the deluxe version and I haven't had any regrets. We had it installed to make sure it was set up properly as I didn't want any problems with this one, it work's like a dream. Got a few friends heading your way ALM !
